we arent comparing wsu to unsw in any of the posts bc unsw requires you to be well rounded (very high atar, very high ucat, good interview) as opposed to wsu (mid/decent atar, decently high ucat, good interview) - they were talking about unis that are okay with you having lower atars with higher ucat score.
btw the ppl that get wsu offers without rural or special considerations usually get 94th-98th percentile range, that too considering very high scores in vr section so yes the ucat requirement is high - source: medstudentsonline - idk why you said thats not high bc ppl get into unsw with the same type of percentiles
i understand you have a prob with the weighting stuff for offers that they said but the advice still applies to the pre-interview stage - when they give out interviews they care more about ucat (esp verbal) and basically "are you above minimum atar" on a yes/no basis. and if you dont meet that criteria there is no interview so most ppl are already eliminated by that stage. so if you get into wsu you are likely to have a high ucat
so idk whats wrong with what they said icl apart from the wrong percentages on the weighting they are still right in terms of their point
