ok im interested in what marks i would need to get for a UAI over 70
i have alrdy got my results for senior science and that is 79

here r the 4 courses im doin, rank given is my overall rank

standard english- rank 3/21 (im very close to the top two) (trail- 60%)
Genreal maths (5/21) (again very close to the top) (trail- 60%)
Modern History (2/7) (missed out by .06 of a mark from top!) (trail- 68%)
Geography (2/7) (girl who is 1st is a few marks in front, others are close behind me) (trail-65%)

school is a small rural school out bush.
what marks do i need to get a UAI +70

Over 70 should be a piece of cake. Your rankings are good but your marks aren't as good.

Did you have hard markers/hard exams?

Considering your subjects don't scale too well, you'd probably need mid band 4's in all of them to ensure you get over 70

my friend got 88 for adv eng in 2001 and he didn't know how to spell exaggerate...... or however u spell it

yeah i cant spell for shit.
and yeah ragerunner we were marked hard in english and history.
maybe geo aswell.

yeah speeling dosn';t matter.. if u have speeling mistake but they still unstander what ur talking about u still gte the mark...spelliong opnly matter in one section- the common paper section 2 (creative task).

dw if you get a uai of 60 you can still get into uni easyyyy through rural entry program.. so you can cut mayve 20-25 uai points but still get in

true but i really want to go to melbourne! if i dont get over 70 i will most lilkly end up at Bendigo, where i need a UAI of only 55.00

dont worry youll get 70 (i thought that u were aloud in to any uni with the 20-25 uai cut of if your a rural student...) oh well i know nothing anyway you can get 70 {because your smart )

its sad for ppl like benno...
cos u did low scaling subjects, its practically impossbile to get over 90, if u're not a full smart ass..sigh..
but 70 for u no worries, as long as u dont slack off..
for eg, me..
i didn't even try at school this year, but ppl say i'm goin to get 80 no worries..cos i do 4unit/3unit maths, economics, physics, english standard..

all my ranks are shit...like really BAD..
for eg, 30th/40, 49th/80, 50th/115, 13th/40, 34th/70...

yet, 80+....
i gota say, i love scaling.
