The NESA website isn't that clear about what cases illness/misadventure can be used, so i was wondering whether anyone here knows specifics/has experience filing one. I've heard that in the case of illness, it has to be so severe that it would warrant hospitalisation. And that mental illness isn't covered. Anyone know if those are true?

That's not true. I suffer from depression and anxiety and I put in an illness/misadventure form for my Ancient History HSC exam as I had a very difficult weekend before hand and was unable to sit the exam to the best of my ability. You need to get a form filled out by a doctor/medical professional though. If you have any more questions, just PM me, I'm happy to answer
