If I have notes that cover all the parts of the syllabus, is that all I need? I have notes that have the actual outcome, and then some notes about that part of the syllabus. I just want to know if I should be making notes on the parts of the topic not in the syllabus.

If you are sure you have covered everything and are very confident of it, you can probabl go ahead a little bit in class or start practising past papers.

This site has a huge selection of papers for you people to utilise.

I have notes from a student fom last year, who got a 95 UAI. I didn't mkae them myself. I guess what I'm asking is, can they test you on anything other than the outcomes on the syllabus?

Good good. So if I study the parts of the topic described in the syllabus, I should be OK?

They can only ask stuff from the syllabus.

studying outside of it has no use except for personal gain.

But note that because you got the notes from a person who achieved 95 UAI, doesn't mean you will get exactly that just because you are using them.

but be aware that sometimes the syllabus question is so broad in nature that it does feel like ur doing more than required. its up to urself to figure out the amount of info to put into ur notes that adequatley cover the heading in the syllabus
