I understand that if we do 4u maths we wont get tested on 2u stuff but we still have to learn 2u. So i was wondering, what happens if we screw up in both 3u and 4u? does that mean all 4 units will go down the drain? I've heard humors like that if you do 4u you automatically get 100 for 2u etc etc. But how exactly does it work?

If you do 4u you don't do the 2unit hsc test only 3u and 4u. Well if you screw then if you only have 10 units you're really screwed

automatically get 100 for 2U... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHHAHAAHHAHAHAA Use your common sense :p.

If you screw up in 4U then you screw up. You will not get a mark for 2U.

At my school we have to do all the maths assessments, ie 2, 3, 4 unit assessments just in case we decide to drop down to 2/3 unit from 4 and then they will take our 2 unit marks in the hsc instead of 4. If you're not sure that you're gonna be doing 4 unit right through the year, then ask whoever's in charge if you could do something similar.

Yep, you effectively don't do 2u... and 3u and 4u count for 2 units each. Remember though, since you have 12 units, you can drop down at a later date.
