it would take me ages to move on, it would be so shocking, and so hard to deal with not having him around.
i guess eventually, in the long run, i would. but it wouldnt be in the next year or two or anything, i'd be guessing it would be a very long time before i would really want to go and date other people.

man these threads are depressing

To be honest, I don't know. If she died now, I seriously couldn't imagine myself dating anyone else for a number of years. I'd be comparing everyone to her - wishing they would be more like her. It would be awful. Okay so my plan is: don't let her die.

Yes exactly. I'd always speculate about the differences between them and my passed away partner. It'd be really hard. Also, you'd have a great deal of baggage.

it would always take a considerable grieving period.
depends if i loved them or not.
if i loved them i would take a while to get over it.
if it was just a fling and there was no real deep connection then i would move on more easily.

what a horrible thing to think about.
