Star X has moved. Measure the angle that it has moved (they give you a scale) - it is the diagonal then change it to the change that is used to find the parallax.

You now know the 2p, halve this value to determine p.

Now, d=1/p
Sub in p and find d in parsecs.

Aww man, of coarse. Thank you. I was trying to think about it in terms of photometry.
