Common law also refers to the the procedure and the evolving from Customary Law

Hey common law is also the system of law held by common law countries like Australia which have an adversarial system of trial as well as judge made law. It can have two meanings depending on the context as does civil law. Hope that helps and doesn't confuse u even more:D

As a source of law it refers to precedents, as a system it refers to the adversarial system along with the law of many commonwealth countries.
