Hi,

I'm hoping someone may be able to help me define and give an example of statutory discretion. I have Google'd and looked in my textbook but to no avail.

Please ? With a cherry on top ? :D

statutory discretion is where a person enforcing the law uses his or her discretion in the outcome of events.

an example would be a police officer pulling over an old lady for driving too slow on the road, and letting her off with a warning, instead of fineing her

get it?

hope it helps
