Yes, there are a lot of discussions about university materials in BoS but this is primarily focused on High School (esp HSC years). Does another forum exist which is focused on University discussion? Just wondering.

Not really, but there are quite a few uni students on bos that are happy to help you out

And for material you are pretty much given everything you need by your lecturer

It wouldn't be practical to have an 'equivalent' for universities since BoS is targeted at NSW HSC, so a university equivalent would have to be a specific university focused forum.

The University of Western Australia has one, albeit significantly smaller than BoS: http://uwadb.com/forum/YaBB.pl (in fact, BoS' UNSW section is as big as that forum).

If you need help with specific university things, facebook groups are quite abundant with students willing to help. But you can always ask questions here as well.

Let's not forget there are university boards on Bored of Studies, and generally speaking, you can have subject-specific discussions in the relevant university's faculty forum on BoS. For more general discussion on disciplines/focus areas (e.g. Commerce/Business) there are also the non-university-specific boards.

It actually isn't though. BoS has a lot of homework help, resources and people who are of similar age. WP is none of those. WP is useful for generic university advice and specific graduate programs advice, but other than that, BoS is as good if not better. They do have the benefit of more experienced people though.
