I'm getting a new laptop next year, cause my current one is old and also i wanna take notes. what models are best for school?

my requirements:
-must have touch screen
-must have pen so i can take notes
-must not use MacOS
-must have at least 16GB RAM and 200GB memory

lol i don't have anything against macOS, windows is just better for me, like i play osu and every time i need to update it on mac i have to uninstall it and redownload it
I play OSU as well. :drink:
But currently the scheme for laptops is quite terrible - Especially those which use Windows.

Please make up your mind. You said the determining factor was you want to take notes for school, but then you contradicted yourself and said you would not choose a Mac because you need to play osu.
There are always three performance metrics for laptops - screen size, battery life and weight. Pick any two, because you can't have all three. Bigger screen size and longer battery life means more weight. Lighter weight and longer battery life means sacrificing screen size. Add a touch screen and it adds $150 to the purchase price.
And of course you need to decide how much you are prepared to pay.

?? I said in the first post of this thread that one of the determining factors was that it would have to not use MacOS. You can take notes perfectly fine on Windows using Goodnotes, when was taking notes limited to MacOS?

as for metrics i really don't care, a mid battery life and good touch screen is all i need

edit: sorry if that came off as argumentative. im tired
