i would be considering repeating if i get 95 below
and i would definately repeat if i get 90 below
and at this stage i have absolutely no idea what my interests are in uni.. something combining science and maths :S
Why would you repeat year 12 if you don't get your desired UAI, when you are unsure of what you want to do at uni? Everyone forgets about UAIs once university begins. It's understandable if you don't get the required UAI to get into a course, but even then, you could get into another course and transfer over.

On a side note, if you are interested in doing science and maths, I recommend B Science (advanced mathematics) at usyd, or even just a B science degree. The only difference between the degrees is that you must major in advanced mathematics for the former.

why the hell would you repeat if you get under 90? it aint a great result, but you can still do A LOT of uni courses. with a mark under 90 you could still get into advanced science at unsw.

A UAI in the 80s is still a great result. :)

80s is good but not great

and as a guide to previous years, speaking very generally, getting in the 80s for all your subjects should get you into the 90 uai zone but only just

Don't forget that your current marks don't really matter- only your ranks. Furthermore, you have to take into account the scaling of each subject.

Ok..so youre aiming to get 99.4 and takign all these drastic actions if you get below 95 and you dont even know what you want to do ant uni?

I knew you didnt have to be smart to get a high uai and you just proved it.
