my logic was that ...like..everyone does 4 unit maths in our school...and besides..the scaling is better than apple pie on a cool winter day...

I suggest that you not do 4u maths because of the scaling or because others do it.

Do 4u maths because you are good at it as it does require alot of work to understand and get the hang of, unless you are an absolute genius at maths. I've seen plenty of people end up dropping 4u when they it became too much for them by the end term 1, 2.
