well it turns out that a while after i first posted this thread i found out that he knew i liked him.
so whether i wanted to or not, i had to talk to him.
otherwise it would've just been really awkward between us.
and i didn't want to put our freindship on the line for something little like this.
so i talked to him last week.
cleared the air.
he told me everything about his girl
(coz he never used to say anything about her before)
and we're cool.

i reckon that since we talked, if anything, we've gotten closer.
not in THAT way, but as friends.
we can tell each other anything now.

and besides...
i kind of knew he didn't return my feelings.
but there actually was a space of a few days where some random stuff happened and i thought that maybe...
