ive been going out wit a guy for 6 months on and off
we had a fight about a month ago where we both said some really nasty stuff
i got a phone call from him saying if i take him back he will move down to sydney to be with me. he lives in qld and hes 21
what would you do?
i think when we broke up it was good. but then i started to miss him

If you think you are meant to be together and you really miss him when you are away then go for it.

when im with him im in love, but when he goes away we fight

6 months isn't a long time especially if its an on-off relationship. Its difficult to determine at this point whether or not you really like him as much as you think you do and if it is wise for him to make a potential life changing situation at this stage.

6 months isn't such a long time, especially if it's on and off.

You need to decide whether you really want to be with this guy. Does he make you more happy than upset? Do the good times overbalance the bad, or vice versa?

It's usual for a couple to be constantly arguing in a relationship, but once it's over, the regret kicks in. That's why some people have extremely long-term on-and-offs. You build up to the point where you can't stand each other anymore, and then after you break up you feel like you're still in love.

My advice is, if you would rather a steady relationship - say no to him. You're not going to get anything out of this guy than what you've already had with him. It will hurt for awhile, but eventually you'll move on.

When I made the decision to break up with my jackass of an ex who I (for some reason) still had feelings for, I rationalised that it's better to cop a large amount of pain and let time heal your heart than to be in a hurtful relationship indefinitely.

By the way, it's nice to see that "yeah whatever morty" side fly out the window.

Sugar_plum, you're doing your HSC next year so you're, what? 17? He's 21. The age gap might be a rough spot in your relationship for the moment. Just think things through and follow your feelings. If you're unsure of your emotions towards him or his deal it's best to wait until you're more certain before dragging him interstate.

yea .. exactly what i thought bout my ex .. shes dating a guy thats around 24ish and shes 17.

on and off ... like a light bulb .. keep doing it, eventually it will blow up. Either leave it on and waste electricity, or turn it off and move on.
