Except the album is shit, the live bootlegs i've downloaded from his concerts are SOOO much better. Espcially the acoustic versions.

Hrm, here's a list of the albums that have influenced my musical tastes

man, I have to think about this one...

Jeff Buckley - Grace & most other stuff of his really
Something for Kate - Beautiful Sharks
Something for Kate - Echolalia
John Mayer - Inside wants out (The acoustic album I think)
Ben Folds Five - Whatever and ever Amen
Augie March - Sunset Studies
Coldplay - Parachutes
Buddy Rich Big Band - Buddy and Soul
---I have a heap of wierd and varied classical, contemorary, jazz stuff that I like as well.

Now I know there arn't ten albums but all those ones I've listed there have been albums that I've more than liked. Either have amazed me, made me think or gave me that tingling feeling all through my body.

"grace" is unfortunately jeff buckley's most complete work. "(sketches for) my sweet heart the drunk" was a post-humous release which only touches on what would have been an amazing cd had he been alive to finish it. then there's a few ep's and live cd's. so definately get grace, or listen to songs "mojo pin", "grace", "last goodbye", "so real", "dream brother"... hell just buy it. and if you like grace buy sketches.

In no particular order

Vespertine-Bjork( organic , sensual , spine chilling , whimsical but most of all brilliant)
Under the Pink-Tori Amos(very sincere , strong lyrics)
OK Computer-Radiohead(next to vespertine one of the most innovative albums of the deacade)
Jagged Little Pill-Alanis Morisette(angry girl style with flair)
When the Pawn-Fiona Apple(poetic)
Homogenic-Bjork(terryfying , crazy , exciting , emotional)
Greatest Hits-Joni Mitchell(A songwriting legend)
Polyserena-George(The best in conteporary auusie music)
Rumours-Fleetwood Mac(old but wity punch both lyrically and musically)
Spirit-Jewel(good old fashioned songwriting , great vocals)
And everything by Anne Difranco plus the rest of Bjorks albums and tricky's latest work plus tonnes of obscure experimental alteranitive.

I've heard that the album isn't one of those instantly accessible albums, is this true? Does it take a few listens for you to go "holy sh!t! this is greatest thing I've heard"?

I think I'm gonna d/l a few songs and check him out...
