Whats the difference between unit and non-unit subjects. And does it really effect your mark when it comes to the HSC???

Unit subjects counts towards your ATAR, non-unit subjects do not count towards your ATAR.

For eg 2U maths counts towards your ATAR, non-unit Catholic studies doesn't :)

And everything you decide in the HSC affects your mark one way or another :p

NB: If that was what you were after, putting it in the general prelim/hsc forum would've been better. If not, make your question clearer :)

2 Unit math can refer to either the General Mathematics course, or the Mathematics couse. They're both 2 unit math courses.

Yep, General Maths can count for 2 units of your ATAR.

As the other guys have said, 2U maths can refer to both the maths or general maths courses :)
