Yeah im amazed at how much people do.. especially how much weights. I wonder how you guys do it.. id be really really sore like all the time.. do you get massages?

I jump on the elliptical machine for 30-45 mins a day except saturdays and wednesdays when i do the pump class.
sometimes ill jump on the bike for another 30 (but hey im lazy and thats rare)

I also play touch football.. but thats once a week and doesnt really count much.

i swear, weights pain is different from normal pain. its better.

mine varies depending on how commited to a team i am/how i feel,im not playin water polo to seriously atm so my trainin is alot less than usual

tues- 2 to 3 hours pool trainin in the mornin = swimmin, leg work, shootin etc
- boxin for about and hour and a half

wed- boxercise about an hour

thurs- gym hour an a half ish

fri- polo games

sat- polo games

i miss goin to the gym more but skool keeps me extra busy i used to go 3-4 times a week and swim 3 mornings but i dont atm im in easy mode

in regards to gym where i am an where i want to be:
bench press atm- 110kg (1 rep) 100kg (3 reps)...in 2-3 weeks i want to be able to push 115
bi curls atm- progressively rising to about 22.5 kgs...in 2-3 weeks curl 25
tri ext atm around 45kg comfortably dont really care where i go so long as its up

boxin is the best, it calms you and takes stress out of life

The muscle pain is nothing, unless you tear a muscle, which I did 2 wks ago. The pain is just like any pain you get when you just do something new. Trick is not to go too hard to fast. Start with low weights and more reps. As you build up, then increase the weight and decrease the reps.

2wks ago, I did the chest press, did 10kg, reps of 15, 10 and 8. Didnt go to the gym again that wk.
Last week, did the chest press again, but did 15, 12 and 10 and it didnt feel as much a strain as the previous time, but still was hard.

your body will adapt to your exercise and you will have to increase intensity to further your fitness. The pain during a workout is what you gotta strive for.

day one - chest and tris
day two - back and bis
day three - shoulders and abs

pretty simple concept and i have a day break between starting the program again, i dont do legs as a walk up like a million stairs at work and regularly run.

at no point did anyone in this thread claim to have 18" biceps, washboard abs or be able to bench 300.

people who are on hardcore regimes, lifting 4x a week are obviously determined to reach their goals. they have my respect.

well i'm sure alot of people are aiming for high HSCs but going to a selective school doesn't mean anything haha. If you'd been to hurlstone you'd understand. Getting a 99UAI doesn't mean you can't keep in good shape. And yes i dont recall anyone saying how much of a "muscleman" they were.
