Doing BA/B Teach at UNCLE in 09. Thinking of doing ancient history/modern history or ancient history/studies of religion, or all three. Any thoughts?

Hi,

I'm a little confused. People seem to be listing several different subjects as their 'major'. Can you major in more than one area?

Also, in which year do you need to choose your major?

Thanks :)

Depends on the uni, but most unis let you double major in the BA

Oh ok. If you're doing a combined degree, do you have one major in each area? If that makes sense...:S

B Engineering / B Arts and I only get to do 1 major in Arts, although if I can squeeze in 12 extra credits for arts I can double major. I'm intending to do Modern Greek as my major.

So should I be worried if I don't know yet what I'm going to major in? Or do you not have to decide until 2nd year?

You usually don't have to decide till second year, but you will need to do junior units for your major in first year. Usually in first year you do up to 4 areas, and then specialise
