The title says it all. I'm curious to see how people went. Seems like a lot of people got 89s but surprisingly an incredible amount of people got above 90 and 95 ATARs based on calculator predictions.

The Course and Performance Band Descriptors have been on the BOS website for years - they don't change. They are to be found with the syllabus documents - for instance here is a link to the Modern History ones - http://www.boardofstudies.nsw.edu.au/syllabus_hsc/modern-history-pbd.html

If you go to the BOS page 'HSC syllabuses' and then click the link to your subjects click the link to 'other support materials' (or simply scroll to the bottom of the page) and you will get the link to the Performance Descriptions.

The whole point of the aligning exercise is so that people know what the mark means - and that means it is aligned to the Descriptor Bands and so that they can be compared from year to year - theoretically a 90 this year means a student is as good as a 90 from 2001.

I've never seen these before. I was referring to the Performance Band Descriptors in the statistics archive. They show the percentage of the candidature for each band for the respective course. Here's the link - http://www.boardofstudies.nsw.edu.au/bos_stats/hsc-pbds.php
