honey, wait like 6 months to a year after you join before you start questioning the work that you are not even doing or even open a thread like this. There is a search button somewhere you know

Guys give Laz a rest, he has his own stuff to do! Besides the fact that your half yearly assessment marks arent really an accurate way to judge your UAI anyway. Just chill out, if you must use SAM 2004 until the new one comes out and cut Laz some slack

but if you use that logic that means there is much more data to calculate

ALSO we have SAM 2004 to go by and they have nothing thats why they got SAM first...Laz puts in a lot of work 4 this site so please leave him alone he will finish it when he is good and ready

When he made the VCE one he liked what he created, so he is doing the same with the HSC one......

Some new formulas to calculate it or something.

well we can predict that sam 2005 will give u a lower uai than 2004
its been the trend since 2001
so yeah use sam 2004
it will be less scary
i was scared by using 2004 as it is!

some of us need sam 2005 to guess our UAIS to take into account subjects that arent included in SAM 2004 for estimates... so the sooner the better!!! but i think we all appreicate laz's work... its unfortunate in my case though because i cant get a reasonably close estimate to my UAI

indeed.....the overall trend is that uais fall....but it certainly not the case for everybody. Depends on subjects etc....some will go up, some down, some steady....
