There seems to be an ungodly amount of informaion on PHB but next to non on PHV. Then again, they say that they are copolymers and whatnot... I need information specifically on PHV.

I wonder how fast this board is.

Just what about polyhydroxyvalerate do you want to know? I mean, I could come up with pages of info, but specifically what information pertaining to PHV do you need?

It's scary that you even know PHV, and you can "give pages of info" on it...

first of all, copolymer means a polymer made of 2 different monomers... nylon 6,6 is a copolymer...

it appears that hydroxyvaleric acid has 5 carbons instead of 4 (as in the case of butyric acid) and PHV seems to be a copolymer of HB and HV.

property of a copolymer really depends on alot of things, the regularities of copolymer (block, synchronised, random), branching, etc...

but onething is for sure, it's also a biopolymer...
