um i think they are referring to carbon because...idk its like the centre element or something

anyway yeh im pretty sure C=carbon as it has a mass number of 12.

i think that this is talking about moles... remember that one mole is exactly 12 grams of carbon 12 (year 11 text book)

It's referring to Carbon-12 (the most common isotope of Carbon) -- 1 mole of carbon-12 = 12grams of carbon-12
