mine's fucked. on full charge, it lasts about 15 minutes before i need to plug in the power chord again.

my laptop is a hp compaq presario c700.

I'd look on ebay for a non-authentic replacement. There's a few computer fairs in Sutherland that i'd look at too if it's not too urgent.

yeah, i was thinking of buying a non-authentic battery but i thought they'd be crap quality, no?

How olds the model, once the model is a few years old they dont manufacturer the parts anymore.

Sort of a bitch because Batteries tend to last a few years until either
1. Their warranty runs out
2. They dont make the batteries anymore.

i dno, batteries can be hard to find - perhaps just use it as a 'desktop' now
