Neil is a defender.

He doesn't score the goals, he prevents the goals, which is equally as important.

The goalkeeper prevents the goals!

Defenders are playmakers - set up plays from the back.

A lot defenders have scored goals - lol even goalkeepers have scored em.

Firstly, Lucas Neill is HOT. Secondly, he is a typical passionate sort of player that strives well in the more physical leagues of Europe. At Barcelona, he will probably do well but I don't think it will really suit his game, as defenders in La Liga tend to be more natural readers of the game and face "Grosso" like players from a day 2 day basis, to generalise abit its more cunny and an art to defend than being a hard man.

That being said nothing wrong with Neill in that department but, at the end of the day his not gonna utilise his talents fully at Barca. I think at this stage Liverpool would be an ideal move.

Ironically, in italian it means big, derived from the word Grandioso meaning great.

Hahaha funny how Aussies always refer to Grosso as that kunt who dived, he basically won Italy the World Cup.

As for Neill, Liverpool might be the place to go to. But I don't really care. He was outstanding for Australia in the World Cup, but his form for Blackburn is someway short of that standard. I watched Ronaldo tore him to pieces in the league game a few weeks back. I met that guy before, nice bloke. But still, I don't care where he ends up as long as he plays well for the national team.

why would liverpool get him? I reckon Neill should come home and play for Sydney - they need someone that can stop goals - if thats what defenders do.
