is jacaranda the best one, coz i already had the prelim one and i didn't really like it, it was a lot of reading and not much mathematical applications IMO.

Yeah I agree but Jacaranda is good for the theoretical component

If you want mathematical based questions then I'd also get one of the Excel books if I were you

For 2U, get Cambridge - great set of exam questions which will link nicely to past papers. And you don't need textbooks for English because you have your prescribed texts to read over.

I can't speak for the other subs as I don't do them, but I hope that helps.
Hey thanks, i've got some PDF's of the 3u and 2u course and they are pretty good.

I can only advice on subjects I do -

English adv - study guides for the texts you're doing and photocopy them, find good resources/notes on the internets
Physics - school will probs give you Jacaranda, but for understanding concepts, Surfing and Physics in Focus is good. For practice questions, the dot point MULTIPLE CHOICE book is very good, esp. for making sure you know your stuff.
Math 2u - the cambridge textbooks solely for 2U and then doing past trials/hscs.

etc.

English Adv --> no need for textbooks.

Business Studies --> Business Studies In Action (Jacaranda) and maybe, Cambridge.

Physics --> Jacaranda, Physics In Focus, In2Physics

Fitzpatrick will probably suffice for 2U.

Business Studies: Cambridge is pretty good, doesn't appear to have as much off syllabus stuff as some of the other equivalents.
