i do both and they are both very content based and very wordy
they are not that difficult but the content makes it hard to remeber everything

but sor is more easy as you can learn chunks of info while bio you need to be able to apply crap u learnt 3 terms ago to a problem solving question and you need to have a good understanding of a few key concepts to fully understand anything. while sor is all diff and nothing relates that much

both boring though
biology is all plants leaves
sor is just boring lol

have fun either way

Yeah I do both bio and sor2u. Sor2u is boring, but REALLY easy to get the marks. If you put the effort in, there's a high chance that you'll get a band 6.
I've heard rumours that TAFE HSC gets scaled down automatically, is this true? If it is, then you have to be above the average marks to get a band 6.

I do both. SOR1 is easier, not as much to remember as biology. I agree with yoakim religion is boring....unless you like it.

Religion was BRILLIANT - because I enjoyed it.

Do what you think you will enjoy because in the end, that will be what you will be moivated to study in and ultimately get higher marks in - no matter how "easy" people say the subject is, you'll only do well if u work hard in it.

IPT is another easy subject to get top marks in so I have no idea why you think it sucks considering you are attempting to get cheap easy marks. If you enjoy a subject, then you WILL go well in it, provided you earn the results.

well yeah, i can understand that if you lack a technical mind.

but in all honesty, a little study will work wonders with IPT. its pretty much basic computer knowledge and then lots of management/processes and other theory that can be understood and easily adapted to scenarios and questions.

I say it's basically memorising loads of texts and attempting to put down as much as you can during the exam :p

SOR...
help u more out there in the big, wide world..
more relevance...

i dont do bio, so icant speak from a personal perspective...
but from what i've heard, the opinions corroborate whats been said here - content based, and boring to most....

i'd go for SOR..
one unit!

Haha, I'd choose bio between the two, IF I had to. But then again, I heard that SOR gets scaled pretty well, esp. 2u, since only like 2000 people do it, and it isn't too hard to stay above the state average?

I do both Biology and SoR 1-unit and I prefer SoR. I find it absolutely fascinating and it is pretty easy. Biology isn't too difficult either; I just don't enjoy it so my marks aren't usually so great. I do love religion though (which my friends just do not understand!) Just choose what you enjoy; if you do a subject just because it is bludgy you're not going to put any effort in and ultimately you will not get the mark you were hoping for. It is better to do a subject you enjoy as you will be more motivated to aim high.

what do you mean that it's good especially if you're an english type person?
Is there a lot of essay and responses?
