Who didn't get the golden letter?

Right, this isn't a self-pity thread or whatever.

I just want to know, out of the people who didn't get an interview summons for UNSW Med (round 1) what are you going to do now?

Will you pursue med later? Will you stick with it and hope for round 2? Or are you giving up and hoping for law?

Personally, I am rigidly dedicated to studying medicine, and quite frankly am willing to pursue it through any possible means. Of course, I really hope to get a spot in MBBS/BA next year, because it keeps my uni lifetime down to a short 16 years.

So...do you still care about med? Do you still dream of ultimately being a "healer of flesh"?

And yeah, just so I don't seem like a bitter prick, congrats to the succesful interviewees.

Dear Applicant

I regret to inform you that you have not been selected for the main round
of interviews from 29 September to 3 October 2003 for entry to UNSW
Medicine Program in 2004 . However, applicants who have not been selected
for the main round interviews will be considered for a smaller round of
interviews on January 5 and 6, 2004.

We hope to notify everyone regarding the January interviews on Monday
December 22 or Tuesday December 23, 2003.

Applicants' actual academic results (including HSC and university results)
will be used for selection for the January interviews (again together with
the UMAT results). Please note that the higher your academic results (in
the HSC or at university), the greater your chance of being offered an
interview in January.

Regards

Its not the estimate cause my estimate was 99. and i got a letter saying to try again in second round of interviews. Its just that i stuffed up the UMAT, i know it was the first section. third section killed it only didnt get 2 type 11s.
Second section went alright .

I have always been totally confident about sections I and II of the UMAT, and I know my estimate was 95.

Really?! I applied to five, and I thought that was already a bit excessive...

Bastards! If the people who weren't serious about med didn't apply I might have got a place, as well as a lot of other, more DESERVING applicants.
