Got my letter in the mail today for Informatics.

I got in. ..

Guaranteed place in Bachelor of Internet Science and Technology
*and*
Guaranteed place in Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology (Network Management)

WooT!

I had my Interview for Marine Science today - went pretty good.

Choices, choices, choices now. lol

Umm..
Don't shoot the messenger - but applications for Early Entrance closed a while ago.

Interviews for Informatics/Engineering were on Monday the 29th. Science interviews were today.
Basically you have to show them your reports, trial marks, awards etc, and they either give you a guaranteed place, a conditional place (For example, you may have to get 60 in a certain subject in the HSC) or you don't get a place.

So yeh.. Maybe you could call and see if they'll let you go in for a quick interview? :/

I got unconditional entry into Computer Science
err not that I really think I deserve it but Ill sure as hell take it

congrats mate, (we go to the same school)
i unconditional entry to engineering (computer) and mathematics
but i also got a conditional entry into information technology (network and systems management)... i need a minimum advanced english mark of 50/100. this is bcoz i had a 43% mark on my report. which suck bcoz its really suppose to be 60% as only paper 1 counted. ohwel, im satified. no more need to study hehe

spose it shows .. i aint been ver. motivated in school for .. ever now. (ver un-studious of me)

but yer. conditional. gota get uai of 75 and i get into internet sci and comp sci... and if i get a band 3 in math i get comp sci.

oh well.. spose i deserve it.. shoulda dun beta earlier.

Sweet..i got guaranteed (unconditional) in BE Electrical engineering and BE Electrical Engineering/Be Commerce

I never acutally went for the second, though during the interview i did say i was interested in it, so the guy must have wrote a comment on it or somthing, but yeah it requires a uai of 90 which i proberly never would of got, so...

and can anyone tell me if u really do crap e.g. get below 30 uai can they unguarantee u?

coz i might get that due to family commitments

evry1 gets a conditional entry or better...
i think mines prob as low as it gets..
cuz its like the uai to get into the course without the early entry thing.. but i dont need to compete now..
i think they were like "ah.. he wont get in anyways.. giv him some hope"

SXC dragon boy, are u gunna go 4 a scholarship??

i'd say go for it, not many people try and get one cause they think just freaks get em
so chances are good cause their are heaps of different scholarships on offer, all worth some coin

well ive dun IT related stuff outa skool.. like competitions (website) and ive dun inner school intranet help.
ive started an IT business with mates (gee thats hard but sounds good if u dont think bout it) and i got heaps of prac experience with computers...
i do 4u IT and SDD... no general courses..
i understand the course.. but i dont ever put effort into school...
... so i guess if i put more effort in earlier.. it woulda all paid off..

yer i basically laughed at myself wen i got the letter neways SXC dragon boy. but ill show them.. ill show them all
