who here does legal studies and wants to go into law? (1 Viewer)

Well me, for one, I'm really keen on it! I've heard mixed opinions about a university view of the hsc legal studies course. Some people say that it makes law at uni easier, but on the other hand I've heard that unis generally don't have much regard for the legal studies course, or something...

So, who else is hoping to go into law here??

There is no prereq for uni law and the basic foundations of HSC legal studies will be covered in full within the first few weeks of the uni course. The way you structure a response @ uni is very different from a HSC paper.

Yeh i wanna go to Law at Syd or NSW...but yeh i'll settle for UTS...don't think I'll go to UWS if i do really crap because yeh jus don't like it very much..I'd rather do commerce in UNSW

I want to do law so badly that I will transfer or do what ever it takes. I am hoping to get into UWS...but I dont know...I am really interested in the law...and someway some how I am going to...

USyd will be PERFECT. Although i like UNSW quite a bit too.

Actually Law at unsw is my first pref.

yay! my whole class made me feel guilty then the teacher was like 'i'm sorry to let you go, you were one of my best students, etc...' then she asked me what i wanted to do in uni and i said law and then she started telling me how bio related to law in a last ditched effort to stop me from dropping. But no it didn't work, i did it!!! YAY!!

A lot of people think 2u maths is easy, IT'S NOT!! It's pretty fucking tough work, there's some serious working out in these subjects...

anyway, i felt so good after dropping ext1 english and i wish i could drop physics but i only have 11 units as it is :/

hmm..i aint sure abt going into law..maybe somewhere in that area..
but hey regarding laws..

is there a law/act for student & teacher privacy?.. like is certain information written by students which are given to the teacher "confidential" and noone else can see it..

like sai, if i wrote a letter to my legal studies teacher explaining to her about something in an envelope.. she reads it etc..can a person such as the deputy principal or principal read this letter??..or is there a privacy law which restricts this?..

i'm not sure whether there is an Act as such, but there could be some sort of precedent, since this is fairly common. so therefore there is mostly likely common lawm but most likely not a statute law as such.

oh and Act and law are the same thing.

i passed maths 4 the 1st time in yr12 2day
crappy mark but still...i was happy
i passed 2unit maths!
well it was good 4 2unit...damn 3unit and 4unit ppl were up in the 90s
i got 63%
my average is 46% so i improved
still uni doesnt look possible wit these crappy maths marks
