Aside from being interesting for its own sake, the ideas i learned in some classes have been useful in lots of other subjects -- History, English lit, etc etc. Plus some of my best teachers have been from the school of politics.

And, for the record, plenty of women ARE interested in politics. They just happen to be the type who don't like being called "chicks", and who aren't turned on by dopey racist signatures.... :-S
