I don't know much about the Aussie/NZ hip hop scene.

I'm more into the US Hip Hop scene... I grew up listening to
Pac, Snoop, Dre, Bone thugs N Harmony, kurupt and Daz (DPG), Nas, Scarface, etc

They are pretty good. Im not used to the aussie accent in rap, so it sounds a bit strange, but im sure once you get used to it, it is mad. Only thing is that they have used beats from other songs as Soma pointed out.

Any other links to their music?

thanks for checking it out "reno2004"

The song "On A Bender" has been mixed by DJ IZM to include the original beat and a beat by Kelis and a beat by Souls Of Mischief. I'm not sure if you're familier with hip-hop mixtapes but it's common practice to do that type of stuff, the same way DJs in clubs sometime drop an acapella to a different instrumental.

"Split Soul" is the original beat, I co-produced that track.

Another thing, "Bliss" is from the US originally which is why he has an American accent when he raps (that's his natural accent). Eso was born and raised in Sydney (went to Mosman High) and rhymes with his natural Aussie flow.

Here's a snippet of a song called "This Is For You" from Bliss n Eso's new album - "Flowers In The Pavement".

Here's another track by "Bliss n Eso" form a couple of years ago called "Lyrical Wilderness". If featured on "Culture Of Kings 2" and has become somewhat of a classic among many Aussie hip-hop heads.

If you wan't to hear more Bliss n Eso, check out their mixcd by PMing me and also check out Bliss n Eso's brand new debut full-length album "Flowers In The Pavement"

peace

I have only surface level knowledge of the local hip-hop scene so I can't really make comment on it.

A few personal favourites of mine:
- Jurassic 5
- The Roots
- Dilated Peoples
- Nas
- Mos Def
- Immortal Technique
- KRS One

Immortal Technique has actually been around for a while. His old mix tapes are pretty good.
