why did u choose UTS?

i am a student studing in university of sydney foundation program. i will graduate at the end of this year. i wanna learn architecture. but i am confused to choose UTS or UNSW.

in fact i prefer UTS. because as i know, UTS is easy to graduate than UNSW. and the most important for me is i feel UTS is in city. the location is so good. it is convenient to take a part-time job, to do shopping, to go to school.

how about u? why did u choose UTS?

architecture in UTS is good or not? do u enjoy the lift there?

i choose uts is bcoz unsw has shit job rates, are corrupted faggots that treat u like shit and the staff at uts treat u like a person not a number unlike unsw where u must prove to be WORTHY of unsw

I chose UTS because at the time it made the most sense to put it first on my preferences as it has easy travel access and it has one of the better courses in creative writing in the state. I will also admit to the fact that I did not believe I would make the cut off for the course so I put it first as a way of 'rolling the dice' without expecting it to happen and thus I didn't look into it as much as I should have.

I don't think UTS is easier to graduate than with UNSW - very few of their degrees are truly comparable in course content. An example being the UTS BA in Communications vs. UNSW BA in Media & Communications - the course direction is too different to measure them against each other properly in terms of difficulty. Similar cases exist with the majority of the courses at UTS, so its more of a personal thing with how you like the course structure I think.

As regards the life at UTS, I have to admit I find it a bit lacklustre if only because there doesn't feel like there is much of a campus so it feels a bit weird - fewer places to just hang out with friends I guess.

As for finding out which is better, a good place to start would be by comparing the handbook entries of the courses and looking at what units you can do in each. Some things you might want to be looking at are: how many different specialisations can I take? how long is the degree? how many subjects will I have to do at once? what background knowledge will those subjects require? And so on.

I chose UTS because of their IT course content and links with industry. If it wasn't for these positive attributes, I would have gone to USYD.

As far as dealing with university politics goes, I'd say that uni is still "uni" no matter which one you're at.

What matters most is the course content.

pft like thats a reason :p

i went there cause i have an older brother and sister within different faculties who told me all good things, that plus being close to central station and a good background for teaching scientists lead me to make UTS my first preference

ull make good friends when u go to uts :)

hey you sound like an international student... hahahahaha
UTS would be good for you... because you probably live in the city apartments...

UNSW is good for you too.. because there are many international students there from your country.. so you'd communicate easier in your mother tongue...

at the end of the day mate, it doesnt really matter which uni you study at.. as long as you graduate.. and if you believe that uts is easier to graduate, and you prefer it... then goto uts..

peace^^
