IM doing 2unit maths for hsc. will i be able to cope with civil engineering if i do bridging course for 3unit? Assuming i put in the effort and keep up with the class?

There are a huge amount of people doing first year maths at unsw that havent done extension 1. UNSW will not force you to take a bridging course. Only do it if you think it will make you more comfortable. If you're capable at 2 unit maths (ie not failing it) then I think you'll be ok.
