What do you guys reckon?

Is the UAI for Bachelor of Commerce likely to rise in the coming years at UNSW or Syd Uni?

Discuss. :D

all i know is that it's unpredictable (look at last yr when everyone got into a panic and then the UAI's went down unexpectedly for quite few courses) and depends on demand and supply

perhaps minai or some other more knowledgeable (sp?) people can make an educated guess though

Yeah I know it's really unpredictable but I'd like to know the probabilities all the same. =\

Anyone have any idea?

I'd reckon it would stay quite stable. +/- 2 UAI points.

Wild crazy guess though.

It currently sits at 95 for UNSW and 97.15 for Bachelor of Commerce (liberal studies) at Syd Uni.

WHY IS IT SO DAMN HIGH??

It it rises anywhere above those figures I am going to be one pissed off little girl.

It's high because its popular. Convince everyone that Commerce sucks and then it'll fall dramatically.

WHAT?! Tu es fou!

1. UNSW is definitely superior to Syd Uni when it comes to Commerce
2. The UAI for both unis is high enough. It does not need to be any higher. I repeat: the UAI for Commerce does not need to rise.

Unpredictable. Is it the more people that do it, the higher it goes and vice versa?

Syd Uni is known for it's science courses (and law). The commerce buildings are towards the far eastern side and not even near the pretty grounds.

Eurghh, I shouldn't be promoting UNSW. Go to Syd Uni, by all means. :p ;)

UNSW is definitely the business uni. Macquarie has a recognised Actuarial Studies course, that's it.

Why would anyone want to do Commerce? Thats like Year 9 stuff.

Are we talking just Commerce? or is there one of those little annoying sub branches which people get really tense about [Yes I do the bachelors degree for commerce, international liberal studies affecting the little kids of micronesia].

As to the point of this thread - Courses dont go up too rapidly do they? Only a small (0.20) change should occur right?

International students have a seperate quota from domestic students, however u hav to do group assignments with them and that apparently sucks I've heard.

USYD - sciences and law
UNSW - ??
MACQ - commerces
UNSW is the most recognied for commerce besides actuarial. Also, I think UNSW might have the better maths department compared to syd.
