I've always wondered this. At the moment, my newly opened MSN windows open with the bottom part that says "Blah blah is typing a message" off the screen. My taskbar is at the top of the screen btw.
So anyway how can I force MSN windows to obey me and open about 20 pixels higher?

I hide my task bar and my msn windows open where they were before.

so yours always opens at the bottom of the screen?

Google says it can't be done. I'm not sure if MSN Plus can change it, however I may be mistaken.

Are you using XP? I just tried this and got the poition to change.

1. Open MSN Messenger.
2. Move it to somewhere on the screen that you'd like it to open.
3. Close MSN (Use the cross in the window).
4. Fully close MSN (from the taskbar).

It should always open from that position now. I'm using XP Pro and MSN Messenger 7.

BTW I did test this after a restart and it still worked.

Should be the same ? Wherever you close the window should be where it reopens.

Windows XP and I just tried it, opened up a new chat window, bottom bit was still hidden. Closed it, opened it again, still hidden.
