Windows Icons etc (1 Viewer)

I just got my laptop back from the repair shop...the writing and icons on the screen are soo small...how do I make it bigger?

Have you tried, assuming it is Windows based...

Right Click on the desktop > Properties > Appearance > Font size: Normal, Large Fonts etc

Or it could be a different resolution that you are not usest too?

yeah I did that but everythign is still really small..exceot the icons.. the icons o the bottom toolbar are small and the rext on things such as the internet are like size 8...its so small. Im having trouble reading it.

it might be the resolution.
Right Click on the desktop > Properties > Settings
and move the setting with big numbers to i don't know.. 1024 x 860? Or if its already that then.. 800 by 600

If it's a laptop, don't change the resolution, or else everything will look crap. Leave it on the native set.

For your browser, you can increase the text size through View -> Text size. Select 'Increase' till it gets no bigger.

If you've increased the Windows text size, then everything shouldn't still be so small. Make sure it's set on Extra Large fonts in the Appearances tab.

In Word, you can use the Zoom function (the percentage thingy on the toolbar) to increase the size of the text without changing the document.

Well that was another thing but, does that method of changing the text sizes work with the desktop icons?
