What's the difference btwn the 2?
They seem the same to me..........
And wats the diff. in cost? I know Pro is more expensive......but wats the comparison?

I was told Pro has more features than Windows XP Home Edition but friends tell me ppl can survive on Home Edition without so much trouble....and u really just dun need it.

Home Edition---- ~ $200???????????
Pro---------------- ~ $400?????????

Smthng like that?

Well, i cant find any new features, not faster or n e fing...only thing i saw was that when u turned ur comp on instead of a running green bar (home edition) there's blue (pro)

:)??????????:)

First of all cant PM you , you inbox is full :D

and It's only Home and Professional edition, mainly targeting workstation PC's, Home has everything that Pro has, but Pro has a little bit more minor Networking features, which i'm very sure you won't be using. So if i was you stick with Home Editon.

Like the very popular DeViL's OwN key (the one starting with FCKGW)?

If he did use the DeViL's OwN key, then you'll need to change it before you install any service pack software. The best way to change it is to purchase a key (the key comes with the CD, so it's about $400 still).

ROFL... it's not called that key they call it the "FCKGW Key", Devilsown is in reference to the Corporate copy, and Devilsowns is the warez group. Yep obviously the FCKGW is blacklisted, it was known, i have my own spare nice corp SP1A compatible key :D... hehe remember the ahem cough cough Blue Keygen ?

Of all the software, Windows is the last thing you should purchase. :D :D :D
Well i guess so i mean transition Wise, the only Win 9x you should purchase would be 98SE then XP or 2k if you owned a copy of 2K purchasing XP was silly... But once the new Windows comes out it will be the first windows i'll be purchasing for sure.

I got the Upgrade version of Proffessional for around $200(and that was a while ago) cause you can get the Academic price since your a student. The upgrade is pretty much the same except they ask you to insert your old version CD during the installation to make sure you own a copy.

I appreciate good technology, i just don't think software is worth it. Especially when you can get it for free legally/illegally. :D
