just curious on how you would withdraw an accepted offer...

i rang the student central office @ UNSW and they said that i only have to send an email to ugadmis@unsw.edu.au to say that i want to withdraw my offer in <this course> and that's it.

is there another way, or is this the only way?

thats probably the only way.
you need something in writing to discontinue, or in your case, withdraw an accepted offer

I'm not sure about withdrawing offers, but you can call the UNSW FCE directly on 93853187, or email the enrolment office (who can forward your emails if needed) at enrolment@unsw.edu.au.
