Is it compulsory at your school. At mine it is

What are u doing?. I'm at my uncle's medical centre, were i do absoulutely NOTHING.

Thats why i'm putting this thread up to cure my boredom

Its compulsory in our school to do work experience, even when you go to yr 11, and 12 you have to do work placement.

i)did a few flight sim sessions, 744, 747 classic,and a330-300..although i did get to have a look in the a380 and the dash-8
ii)a flat panel sim session,
iii)emergency procedures (that was with cabin crew..like jumping out of an aircraft =]),
iv)did an airside tour at sydney airport (defintely my favourite..got to wear the reflective qantas stuff with the helmet and did engine assessments, landing gear of the a330-300 and 744..got to go in the cockpit for the 744..also just walked along the perimeter of the taxi way so the instructor could teach me how to identify each aircraft)
v)business stuff - helped the psych testing guy, organised some records etc

this was over at qantas group flight training..

highly recommend if you ever the chance..the guys there are really nice and friendly..

Well mine isn't exactly work experience, it's called community service.. but what I'M doing is basically work experience

my work experience is compolsary but for some reason they changed the dates from some time in july to the first week of december.

We had to do two weeks:

Week 1 : Old primary school in the lubrary- i want to become a teacher so by being in the library i got to experience kids fo all different ages

Week 2/Next week: Yaffa Publishing- published magazines in the city. cannot wait!

wow, i would've liked to do work experience, but my school doesn't let us do work experience unless we take 'work education' as an elective.

its wasnt compulsory in yr 10....well it was until they changed the policy and stopped letting ppl go on work experience.
i wanted to go to the vet clinic at USYD..but yea..school rejected my application to go.

im thinking of places to go for yr 11 now...
either sciency places..or musical places..
any ideas?
