Hi,
I'm a newcomer here so just to briefly introduce myself, erm, I am doing the IB diploma program and I'm going to the final exams in Nov end of this year. my school is ranked at the 140s(2008 NSW rank).

I'm currently getting a predicted score of 36 for IB, including predicted scores for Theory of Knowledge and Extended Essay, based on my term 1 exam, which is kinda like 95+ uac rank. (International Baccalaureate Diploma or Bilingual Diploma | UAC)

But I kinda doubt that this would be a good indicator for where I'm at now, since my exam scores are typical to of my friend who got 85 in estimated HSC uai.

According to the official IBO, my score in terms of percentile(real scaled score of IB students who took on May 2008 exams) is only like 86%. (see attachment below)

So if I were to apply to colleges like (Usyd, UNSW, ANU), would they bother to look at the real scaled score of IB candidates or just the simple IB to UAI conversion score to get a real indicator of how I'm performing?

yeah, theyd just take the simple conversion.
e.g. a friend of mine got 37 last year, equivalent to 96.XX
