Hi

I got an atar of 99.40

I want to try to get into medicine. I didn't do the UMAT this year, as I am taking a 'gap year' for 2 years (UNSW allows max of 2 yrs)
I got the AAA UNSW scholarship, so in order to utilize it, I want to apply to psychology
Then, once i do the UMAT (and its good enough), transfer from psych to med after the first yr
If not, then continue on with psych

I don't want to do adv science, because if i don't get the marks to get into med, then I would have to continue with that

Is this a good way, or what other path can I look at

Sounds like a good plan. However, I can't see a problem with doing Adv Sc either. There is no difference doing B Psych or B Adv Sc majoring in Psych - they are essentially the same degree with different names.

That sounds great. Keep in mind graduate medicine is always an option as well.
