Long answer: of course not, there's barely any math in hsc physics its actually embarrasing. They never will add friction to banked curves cause that adds too much complexity which the syllabus assumes we're too dumb to handle + I'm pretty sure friction is module 2 content anyway. Maybe a selective school prelim paper would ask it but never in the hsc.

The most that we will have to calculate in terms of friction is F=coefficient of friction * Normal force
yeah but engineering studies, a syllabus from 2011 by humanities phile labor government, definitely wont have thisCuriously, you could get such a question in the Technology - Engineering course, but you wouldn't get such a question in the Physics course. Engineering places more weight on friction (if you pardon the pun).
