see how there's no comma after my, but rather it's suppose to flow on.

I have never heard of such a thing. So what is the point of it, like what effect does it have on the responder?

it makes the reader slow down and gives more emphasis to words- eg. "even if
nothing
is there"
gives the poems words more meaning compared to if it just said- "even if nothing is there".

It can be used to add to the feeling of continuity, such as in Chronic Ward (Skrzynecki) where they're stuck in a rut. Can't give u a quote now cos I can't remember!!!
