I totally agree.

Pc's are excellent, however some (such as myself) prefer to have a constant standard which you don't have to upgrade. Also, I find the online community much better on Xbox Live (PS2 didn't have anywhere near as good an online service). Furthermore, although you can hook up the PC to the TV, I like how you play consoles laying back on the couch, controller in hand. For some reason it's a different and (IMO) better experience.
Here's my take on this:
Basically all of the points there you labelled with why you prefer XBOX over PC are valid.. but looking over at an overall sense, we both know you can do all those things with both (multiplayer, TV-out) etc. In that respect, I find consoles to be the lazy man's machine:
Multiplayer. PC's have LAN nites. However PCs are also big and heavy. Everyone needs a PC for a LAN nite (unless you're a cockface just there to bum around on other people's machines.. which does happen, man they are cunts). Then we need to network everything.. and some people might get screwed if they're n00bs. With consoles you only need one. Hooking up is very easy, and it doesn't take a non-lazy person to carry a relatively light console over to someone else's house.
TV-out. Of course consoles are based around TVs. With PCs, you'd need the tower fairly close to the TV or some extension where you'd need to go all the way to Dick Smith Powerfuck to get. Then you'd need a video card with TV-out.. GEEZ what a hassle..
Upgrades: No need to worry about graphics. Consoles already optimise everything with whatever hardware they've got and you never have to worry about learning PC tech for the sake of upgrading.. not that you have to upgrade.
See, I acknowledge these points. What am I getting at? Well it's just in my opinion that PCs do it a little better, just that it takes more effort.
Multiplayer: I find multiplayer experience on PCs to be far better than consoles. There are a plethora of reasons.. e.g keyboard/mouse, own screen, better customisation.. etc.
Machine hardware: Graphics on consoles begins to look crappier over time compared to current PC tech. etc. etc.
So in the end, it's like a scale to me for consoles (esp. for PS3/XBOX vs. PC since titles are familar). The way I put this might seem very black and white, but it's the best way I can sum up what I'm trying to say.
I find PCs to offer a better experience than consoles in general in nearly every respect. Just that of course, it takes alot more effort of preparation to get that experience.
Whilst with consoles, I find the experience a bit more limited, however it's all about ease.
So like I said, the way I view it is more about effort (or more crudely, laziness).
