Hey guys,
when looking at DNA and its structure specifically DNA replication where do chromosomes come in. I am confused about the whole aspect of a strand of doubled chromosomes (chromatid) and sister chromatids.

In other words,
after the DNA is split into 2 strands (for replication) and spare nucleotides are added to their complementary bases (A&T. G&C), what happens next?
