Hi everyone,

My name is Sherwin. I’m an award-winning university maths & stats lecturer and have been teaching at Sydney’s major universities for over 10 years.

I was also one of the youngest students to sit the HSC! I completed the advanced Maths exam at 13 and the Extension exams at 14.

I’m offering small-group online classes for Year 11–12 HSC Maths.

Why these classes might suit you:

• Small group online classes (max 12 students)
• All teaching is done personally by me
• I teach Year 11 + Year 12 together, topic-by-topic, before moving on
• Efficient, no-fluff teaching (great for acceleration)
• $25 per hour, with the first lesson free
• Register topic-by-topic (4–6 week blocks, no long term commitments)
• Full support: notes, class recordings, practice questions, and a forum for questions outside class

How the classes run:

• Two 2-hour sessions per week
• Each session alternates between explanation and guided practice
• If you prefer, you can attend just one 2-hour lecture-style session per week instead

I’m also planning intensive one-day workshops throughout the year, where I take a single topic and cover it in-depth from A to Z. I’ll post about those here when they come up.

Hi Year 11s,

I’m starting a new Trigonometry block next week (Maths Advanced) and mid-March (Extension 1).

• Maths Advanced: 2 - 27 March (4 weeks course)
• Extension 1: 16 March - 24 April (6 weeks course)

We’ll cover the entire Year 11 trig syllabus properly — and also the Year 12 trig material that builds on it, so you’re ahead and confident next year.
