aw :( i feel the same way. I envy those people who do so well and then say that they didnt even study, yet they consistently get good results. they seem to just understand it straight away and then theres me who is usually lost most of the time.
a lot of the time, i study my butt off and still do crap in most subjects, like I rarely get over 75% anymore. that's sort of why I lost motivation and give up, because in the past I used to try so hard and I still got shitty results for most of my subjects.
I know, look at these results:

Maths: 44%
Economics: 44%
Chemistry: 24%
Biology: 37%
English: 49%

How f**king shit is that. I work my ass off, but I still get annihilated in the end

The fact that there are those students who seem to understand the information and absorb it easily meaning that they do little or no study and still get great results.

Whereas for mortals like me, I take longer to grasp the concepts and when I revise for hours I get mediocre results.

Essentially, I'm saying why can't I be smart when I'm already dumb. :(
Its okay man, I started studying four weeks before my 4u maths exam for tutor (the most Ive ever studied for a test in my entire life) but only managed to get a 7/30 even though I reviewed all my theory and did all the prac qs from hwk handout again. Then theres this dudd who got18/30 (highest in class was 20) and hes all like "i studied a little bit..." That was a blow to my self-esteem and needless to say, I quit.

I reckon were all in the same boat. Lol :) Dont worry! Figure out where you went wrong and work from that. Hard work begets none and Im sure if you keep trying your hardest, you'll reap the rewards. :D

No no no! Sorry I probably sound like some sort of preach the good vibes hippie or something, but you guys can't give up! You've gotta believe in yourself! The reality is that those people that get the good marks and say they didn't study much are not quite telling the truth 98% of the time (I know because I've been one of them before). Maybe they didn't work as hard as you, maybe they did, but the point of the matter is you are all capable of achieving! You might have strong points and weak points, but they shouldn't be seen as success or failure - more good areas and areas for improvement. But please, never give up, because that won't help!

Anything under 85% according to my parents is a fail.

oh dude, don't give up. Just change your study habits and/or techniques. This is what year 11 is for, to find the right study techniques that work best for you.

Laziness cause I wish I wouldn't have to study much like those who are genius.

I'm really lost atm
Well honestly, how much do you study ^^. Tell me hours wise.

Realistically ... It isn't about the hours .. But the effectiveness of your study
