Hi there,

My brother will be in Year 9 in 2010. Now after progressing through Year 12 I have found that some exercise/work/theory books really helped me e.g. write essays etc.

My Brother will be doing Advanced Mathematics, English and Science (all in the top classes) along with History and Geography.

Could you please with your experience recommend books under each subject that will prove useful to him and me (as I will be tutoring him).

He is very fond of maths so a challenging book would be great in this case.

PS: With English, a book that helps him with essays would be quite good.

The Excel books are really great. The 5.3/advanced nine and ten book helped in maths and is quite challenging also the excel essay skills helps but my school drilled us with TXXXC format essays. So my recomendations excel books in particular maths and essay skills.

If your brother likes science a biology, chemistry or physics dictionary would be interesting and relavent.
