how do u do industry training. and can i do it first year?

Industrial training can be done in 3rd or 4th year of the BscIT course. although i'd much recommend you do it in the 3rd year as you get a head start on the rest.

Not sure about other courses.
Other than that.. any work experience/extra curricular activities will increase your chances when you graduate and look for jobs.

cause im just thinking which one would be better? because if i want to go on further for post grad studies to maybe specialise in something would work experience still be good...

well the BscIT program is basically.... you go out and find an IT job.. and work there full-time for at least 9 months. You also get paid at the full-time rate too. So its good money as well as real life experience.

I started on a 12month contract .. but i extended it for a further 12 months when i completed it... on a part-time (2-3 days a week) while im at uni

for someone thinking of post grad studies which would be better? because at that point youre not thinking about employment within ur field yet/maybe and its important to have marks and done subjects to get into the desired course

well.. i gues if your not interested in getting a job straight away, then its probably better to skip the training and complete your honours quicker. However, im not familar with the strucutre of your course/industry training.

a bit of work experience is important throughout uni. Probably more so, in courses such as IT/Business than sciences like BioMed, because you'd probably do most of your learning at uni, whereas IT courses, we would learn more in the real world than during uni.

i hope it offers some way of gaining experience. becuase i tihnk it will be extremely hard if we just complete course and expect to get a job

The majority of applicants will have some work experience on their resume, and its all usually the same. having EC activities will help differentiate you from the thousands of other applicants.

Things such as.. Team sports, Uni Clubs/Societies, Volunteering and Charity work etc. . things that enhance your social skills, team skills, leadership skills and communication skills.
